Hello Google AI Studio Support Team,
I am a paying Google AI Pro subscriber (5 TB) and have been using Google AI Studio Build to develop and maintain my web application, Hashimoto Coach.
Until recently, I could regularly work on my application for 8–10 hours a day without encountering these problems.
However, over the past three days, the experience has changed dramatically:
-
October 14: I encountered quota limits after approximately one hour of development work.
-
October 15: My development session was interrupted after approximately 45 minutes.
-
October 16: After expecting my daily quota to reset, I was blocked after just 7 minutes and 18 seconds of development work.
Today, I initially received repeated “Invalid argument” errors, with Gemini showing “Ran for 0s”, even for very simple messages.
I started a new chat within the same project. Gemini responded normally to a short test message, but when I resumed an unfinished SEO repair task, it ran for 7 minutes and 18 seconds, reported only one file edit in its action history, and then stopped with “Quota limits exceeded.”
Interestingly, Gemini was still able to answer short questions afterward.
I understand that Google AI Pro does not provide unlimited usage. However, the sudden difference between being able to work for many hours and being blocked after only seven minutes is extremely concerning.
Could you please clarify:
-
Have the usage limits for Google AI Pro subscribers in AI Studio Build recently changed?
-
Why would a development task hit the quota after only seven minutes?
-
Was this a daily quota limit, a temporary rate limit, or a platform error?
-
Do failed requests showing “Invalid argument” count toward usage?
-
Is there a way to see the exact quota consumption, remaining allowance, and reset time for AI Studio Build?
-
Could you investigate whether quota limits are being applied correctly to Google AI Pro accounts?
I rely on AI Studio Build for ongoing development of my application. These unpredictable interruptions make it very difficult to complete work safely, particularly when code changes are left unfinished.
I would appreciate a clear explanation and, if this is a technical issue, a resolution.
Thank you for your assistance.
