I was trying to sync to an “Organization” repo and got the insufficient permissions error, I switched to personal account and it worked.

Hey guys, I succeeded in my attempt. My method is to use inPrivate mode to first uninstall the GitHub authorization, then re-authorize it, and then it can connect. I hope this helps you.

Tried it but no avail. Are you using it on a private account?

Exact same problem here. Tried to delete the application on Github and re-connect with no success. Hope to find a way to make it happen.

Estou com o mesmo problemas, alguém achou uma solução?

Already tried all the steps, authorized apps, installed apps, remove sessions, clear cache, ingcognito mode… nothing works. And nothing that I found online worked for everyone, just for some.

I tried the same things and nothing worked.

Hello Google AI team and community,

I’m encountering a frustrating issue when trying to connect/sign in to GitHub from Google AI Studio (aistudio.google.com). Every time the GitHub login popup appears and I complete the authentication successfully on GitHub’s side, AI Studio shows this error:

“Something went wrong, please try logging in again
Sign in to GitHub
Signing in to GitHub gives you organized code storage, seamless collaboration with peers, and a powerful way to track every change.”

its been like 1 day + The behavior is consistent across attempts — GitHub login succeeds, but AI Studio never recognizes it and loops back to the same error message.

Is this a current platform-side bug with the OAuth flow? Any official workaround (beyond what’s already suggested in those threads), ETA for a fix, or additional troubleshooting steps I can provide logs/screenshots for?

Thanks in advance for any help — this is blocking my ability to properly version/save projects.

Best regards,
Mamun Chowdhury

Still no fix for this?

Same issue here, it’s very annoying

Same issue here. I’ve tried all fixes I’ve found on this thread + another thread and none have worked for me.

Hey folks, flagged this to the team and we are looking more into it to see how we can fix! Sorry for the delay.

Been having the same problem for days

Same problem here started trying to upload to Github to to take it to Hostinger. Did everything still it shows “Something went wrong, please try logging in again”

Do you have some update about this?

I run into this occasionally. What i did was log in again, and somewhere at the bottom it asks if you want all repositories or just one to have access, and I just toggle the other radio button, and then back to the original one. I forget what option, but then i hit save, and it works again.

Hi - same issue - however, I was having some issue with supabase, only after AI Studio created a YML file.

I created the YML file in GitHub and deleted it from my AI Studio file explorer - then tried to “save to github” again, and it worked.

Hopefully that is a fix/workaround for some others?

Thanks, Mark

Is there an update? Really like to see this resolved

Was looking for a .yml file in my project to validate your solution. Alas, I didn’t find one and I’m still running into the same error message.
