Gemini API Free Tier Restricted – 403 PERMISSION_DENIED – Request for Account/Project Review

Hello Google Gemini API Support Team,

I am requesting a review of my Gemini API Free Tier eligibility and project access restriction.

Project details:

  • Project name: Gentle-Cat-Music-YouTube

  • Project ID: gentle-cat-music-youtube

  • Intended use: Low-volume Gemini API requests for automated YouTube comment replies.

Current status:

  • Project status: Restricted

  • Billing tier: Unavailable

  • Project quota tier: Unavailable

  • Gemini API: Enabled

  • Billing account: Not linked

API error:
403 PERMISSION_DENIED — “Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”

Checks completed:

  • Google Cloud IAM: Owner

  • Gemini API key: Restricted to Gemini API

  • 2-Step Verification: Enabled

  • Recovery phone and email: Configured

  • Date of birth: Adult, with no additional age-verification prompt

  • Google AI Studio: Still shows Restricted after these checks

I would prefer to use the Gemini API Free Tier without enabling paid billing.

Could the Gemini API team please confirm whether this project is affected by automated account verification or access restrictions, whether Free Tier access can be restored, and whether any additional verification or appeal process is available?

I understand that Free Tier access may not be manually restorable for all accounts.
