Gemini API 2.5-Flash-Lite RPD capped at 5000 despite on Tier 1

My workflows using the Gemini API 2.5-Flash-Lite model stopped working when the RPD reached 5,000 requests, even though I am on Tier 1 and the rate limits indicate unlimited RPD. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

This hidden cap has persisted for three days.

This is extremely annoying and very unprofessional (and scammy) coming from a big name Google. Why would you display unlimited RPD then quietly cap user at 5,000?

THey will delete the model on march 31 anyway and force you to migrate to 3.1 flash lite with forced thinking mode price. Enjoy your x3.5 cost increase like I just did :slight_smile:

What is happening with the whole Gemini pricing and rate limiting for the past week? Its a total mess..
