Forum support for light theme

Hi Google AI forum maintainer,

It’s really awesome that there’s a forum for discussions on building with Gemini! I was always looking forward to this. I think it would be nice to have a light theme as an option because it makes reading a bit easier for me. I looked into Preferences > Interface, but couldn’t find it. Thanks!

Hey man, I feel the same way too.
I would like to provide feedback on the current user interface design of Google AI Studio. While the dark theme is aesthetically pleasing, prolonged use can cause eye strain and discomfort for some users, including myself.

Therefore, I kindly request that the Google AI Studio team consider implementing the option for a light theme. This could include options such as:

1.Classic Light Theme: Featuring a white or light grey background with dark text for a clear and readable interface.

2.Eye Care Mode: Reducing screen brightness and filtering blue light to minimize eye strain.

3.Custom Themes: Allowing users to personalize the interface with their preferred colors and fonts.

I believe that incorporating a light theme option would not only improve user experience and protect users’ eye health but also cater to diverse user preferences, making Google AI Studio a more inclusive and user-friendly platform.

Second! Dark mode cause eye pain!
And please add light mode to Google ai studio

We are actively looking into this, the norm seems to be to use system settings for this so that the experience is what someone would expect.

I have noticed the daily free usage limit on Gemini 1.5 Pro, which has been hindering my exploration of its full potential. For me, the current limit is not sufficient to complete many of my daily tasks.

Welcome to the forums.

Since your question isn’t about the light theme, you may want to post it as a brand new topic. This way folks may find it easier.

is your theme open-source?

We added support for a light theme here a while back,
