Issue Summary

I migrated my application from Firebase Studio to Google AI Studio following the Firebase Studio sunset announcement.

Unfortunately, the migration completed with major issues that have made the application unusable.

Problems Encountered

  1. The application source code was not migrated correctly.
    • The src directory is missing.
    • Multiple application files were not transferred.
  2. Secret values were not migrated.
    • Environment configuration is incomplete.
    • The application cannot access required secrets.
  3. Deployment fails after migration.
    • The migrated project cannot be successfully deployed.
  4. Gemini AI repeatedly prompts me to upgrade my plan.
    • I already have a paid Google AI plan.
    • Despite this, Gemini reports that I need to upgrade before it can continue working on the migrated project.

Because of these issues, the migrated application cannot be developed further and is effectively broken.

Expected Behaviour

The migration should preserve:

  • Complete project source code
  • src directory
  • Configuration files
  • Secrets and environment settings (or provide a supported migration path)
  • Deployment configuration
  • Gemini functionality without incorrectly requesting a plan upgrade for an already paid account

Actual Behaviour

The migration produced an incomplete project with missing source files, missing configuration, deployment failures, and Gemini incorrectly reporting account limitations.

I wonder if making new scripts in AI studio with the exact script names, and then copying and pasting the code for each script into ai studio will work?
