Since the day before yesterday, Google AI Studio has been constantly showing the message ‘Failed to list models. Please try again.’ and redirecting me to ‘Available regions for Google AI Studio and Gemini API’. However, the region I’m in — the United States — is already on the supported list. I’ve tried using a proxy, switching browsers, and switching devices, but none of them worked.
Hi @PlaidMrdeer ,
Hi Welcome to the Forum!
Thank you for reaching out!
This seems to be a temporary issue. Please try the following steps:
- Refresh the AI Studio page or reopen it in a new browser window.
- Clear browser cache and cookies, then sign in again.
- Make sure you’re using a supported browser like Chrome.
Please let us know if the issue still persists.
I am currently facing the exact same problem that @PlaidMrdeer described. I followed the exact directions you gave: signed into aistudio.google.com on a fresh install of Chrome with my personal account. However, I was immediately redirected to “Available regions for Google AI Studio and Gemini API”. It seems cache and cookies are not the problem.
Was there a fundamental change in Google surrounding the Gemini API on private accounts?
