Eligibility Requirements for International Competition

I’ve seen questions about this topic across multiple platforms, including social media, forums, and Q&A sites, which suggests there is widespread interest or confusion. The questions we have received have been regarding individuals who are citizens of another country but reside in the U.S. – these individuals are indeed eligible to compete and be eligible for the prizes as long as they hold a valid U.S. visa. This eligibility requirement applies to any country: if an individual holds valid citizenship for an eligible country and currently resides there, they are eligible to compete.

@Lloyd_Hightower i wanted to ask if there is possible to apply from a unmentioned country for example in my case Kosovo, is there any special requirements we could fulfill to join.

You can not join from Kosovo, it is not in the list of allowed countries.

How about if someone is a citizen of a country that is not mentioned on the list of allowed countries but is currently living in the United States on an F-1 visa? Are they eligible to compete?
