I am originally from Hong Kong and am currently doing my undergraduate studies in the United States on an F-1 student visa. Unfortunately, Hong Kong is not listed among the eligible countries for the Gemini API Developer Competition.
I saw in another post that:
“The questions we have received have been regarding individuals who are citizens of another country but reside in the U.S. – these individuals are indeed eligible to compete and be eligible for the prizes as long as they hold a valid U.S. visa.”
However, it also says that:
“This eligibility requirement applies to any country: if an individual holds valid citizenship for an eligible country and currently resides there, they are eligible to compete.”
So I just want to clarify – does a valid U.S. visa holder also have to be from an eligible country in order to compete and win prizes in this competition?
Thanks.
