Hello, everybody!
I have been using Google Gemini for a little while now. I mostly use it for image creation and modification in relation to short stories I’m writing. I recently signed up for the one-month free trial of Gemini Pro, and I’ve been enjoying using it. There is something odd I’ve noticed that I thought I could reach out to the community and see if it’s just me or if this is something Gemini does regularly.
I live in the Eastern time zone in the United States, and when I’ve been playing around with Gemini, I’ve found that it seems to be smarter in the mornings. It often gets the descriptions of my images correct within a few attempts, sometimes even on the first try. It’s very satisfying. However, as the day goes on, usually in the early afternoon, I’ve noticed that it seems to start having much more difficulty. It will randomly place objects, make changes I didn’t request, change the style to something completely different, be unable to do simple tasks, or refuse to edit an image despite the thinking process claiming it has. I haven’t really had the chance to test it in the evening because I usually hit the daily Nano Banana Pro image limit shortly after that, and the standard Nano Banana seems to be nearly useless at the more advanced scenes I’ve been creating. It takes like a dozen edits if it even will work at all as opposed to the 1-3 with the Pro model, and by then the original image has degraded significantly.
What I’m wondering is this: does Gemini’s ability to think accurately decrease with load as more people start using it later on in the day and other time zones come online?
