Hi, I’ve gone through tons of threads about why Gemini is constantly overloaded and keeps giving the ‘overloaded’ error, but I haven’t found any concrete information. During the day and evening, roughly from 8 AM to 7 PM, Gemini 2.5 Pro is completely unusable - almost every request I make gets the ‘overloaded’ error. Are there any specifics on what’s causing this, and does Google plan to do anything about it?

Yes, same here. It’s currenty in a non working state. Don’t even try to spend credits until this is fixed. It cant even remember anything or pick up a command. It’s useless, AGAIN!

may I know which Tier you guys are in and what you were tryign to do e.g text generation or image generation? This will help us report this issue better to the internal team.
I am currently on Tier 1, my application requires using the Gemini-2.5-pro model and generates text. My application has to use Gemini-2.5-pro, and I am not able to switch to “weaker models” - this is very inconvenient because, in fact, at the moment my application can only operate during nighttime hours.
I was at paid account but switched back to Tier 1 free trial. It was working ok yesterday on paid, not great either. But today on free trail cloud account absolute nightmare. This evening it improved but still has big problems picking up new tasks. It won’t budge it’s own opinion or task and i can’t override it. I try again tomorrow, now pretty annoyed.
Is the empty response / error 500 issue fixed that was happening for like 2 weeks ? Im on a paid tier @GV_Zap
Yeah i tested a bit earlier and the problem seems to be gone just wanted to confirm it got fixed for you today too?

Weird it still happend for alot of users these past days the fix is rolling out slowly
This problem is not tied to a free or paid because alot of people who are facing this problem are on paid
Same issue, I cannot integrate Gemini into any application, because the downtime is >70%.
Worst part is, that the status page shows its up, meaning that the status page cannot be trusted at all. Status | Google AI Studio
2 weeks of constant errors totally breaking all my apps in produciton, Google is completly ignoring it. But apparently “There’s never been a better time to use Gemini”
(They don’t care at all)
And now its the 2.5-flash-lite model throwing the same error.
