Hello developers. I am a very active user of the web version of Google AI Studio, and over the past month I’ve encountered an exceptionally poor adaptation of the web interface for mobile devices. I will attach a link to a video demonstrating the issue for clarity.
Let me explain it in words. When editing any message block in a chat with the model, the interface jumps to the end of the conversation. This makes it difficult to locate the message you were editing.
Issue number two concerns navigation within the editable message block. The automatic minimization of the block, along with the appearance of an internal scrollbar, creates an inconvenient second scrolling axis inside an already scrollable chat. (This also applies to the desktop version.) As a result, it becomes confusing to navigate and leads to accidental scrolling to other messages.
The chat scrollbar does not allow you to jump to the beginning or end of the conversation in a single action. It also has two degrees of scrolling freedom, which is extremely inconvenient even on a PC when working with large chats.
The token display panel almost never works and remains stuck in an infinite loading state.
The name of the current conversation is not displayed anywhere; instead, it always shows “Playground.”
When using the keyboard, less than one-third of the screen remains as a working area. Selecting text for editing becomes difficult.
Additionally, I would like to report an issue with rate limits not resetting at midnight. So far, this problem has been observed with Gemini 2.5 Pro.
P.S. I kindly ask that before releasing global updates to the web interface, you conduct internal testing to prevent such issues in the future. I am personally willing to participate in a separate testing branch and report critical UI bugs that hinder the use of the service.
