I am submitting a public bug report because the standard Google One / Gemini feedback widget only allows a single image upload, which is entirely inadequate for documenting a progressive backend failure.
I am a Pro subscriber trying to manage my business workload. This morning, at a fresh 0% usage, I submitted a simple prompt to find an aftermarket battery for a Bobcat E10z. The system failed to generate any response and hung on a blank screen.
Instead of recognising the timeout, the system charged me 7% usage for the non-response. I attempted the prompt three times, resulting in a 21% quota drain in minutes and pushing me toward a 5-hour reset lock—all for zero output.
Users should not be penalised for backend timeouts, and we should not be forced to waste billable working hours navigating a broken feedback system. Please review the attached screenshots showing the timestamps and the unjustified usage spikes, and escalate this quota-tracking bug to the development team immediately.
