🚨 CRITICAL BUG: The new "AI Credits" update completely broke Baseline Quotas (Instant 7-Day Lockout!)

Hello everyone and Google Engineering Team,

Is anyone else experiencing this massive bug? Ever since the new “AI Credit Overages” toggle was introduced, the baseline quota system has completely collapsed.

Here is the exact proof of the bug: I was waiting for my baseline quota to refresh today (March 12/13). The moment the timer hit zero, it did NOT give me any quota. Instead, the system instantly slapped me with a full 7-day lockout (setting my next refresh to March 20, 2026). I didn’t even send a single prompt!

To make sure this wasn’t just a glitch on my end, I logged into my second account. The exact same thing happened at the exact same second. Both accounts are now locked out for a week, forcing me to either stop working or burn through my emergency AI Credits.

Affected Models: Claude Opus 4.6, Claude Sonnet 4.6, and Gemini 3.1 Pro. The Error: “Baseline model quota reached” appears immediately upon refresh time.

This is completely unacceptable for a service we rely on for our daily workflows. It feels like we are being forced to use the new Overages credits because the baseline system is fundamentally broken.

Questions for the community and Google:

  1. How many of you are currently locked out for 160+ hours right now? Let’s get a count!

  2. @Google_Support: What is the ETA for an emergency hotfix?

  3. Will users be compensated with free AI Credits for this massive disruption and lost time?

I have attached screenshots from both of my accounts showing the ridiculous March 20th cooldowns. Please fix this immediately!

same here first i didnt do anything i was just closing my antigravity to save my quotas for later (they were full) one i opened them in he morning everything is just gone claude models had 6days of lockdown pro models had 5 hours.Then i waited without using anything just waiting my quota time to finish suddenly my pro quota is finished and locked me 7days

The same thing happened to me as well. My quota was supposed to reset today for Gemini. I waited three days, and when I opened it today, it gave me another 7-day reset time. For Claude, I only used like 40 percent of the daily quota to save it for later, but couldn’t get back to it on that day. When I opened it the next day, all of the quota was used (100 percent), and now I have to wait for this as well.

same thing here, i waited for my quota to refresh to start working again and it slammed me with a 7 day waiting period, i tried logging out, logging back in, updating to the latest 1.20.5 version, nothing happened still the quota hasn’t refreshed, i called customer support and they tolled to run the age verification procedure to activate the sync between google one and antigravity, still nothing happened, last step they tolled to wait for 24h and see what happens, this is totally unacceptable, we have work to do and a lot of it is critical

same. i have not used it in 2 days and just got on to a “Baseline model quota reached” error in the chat. i got a pro account so i should have 100 prompts per day for 3.1. how am i out until 3/18/26 ??

I observed different behavior: with available quota and the option to spend credits enabled, if the quota ran out, both the quota and credits were being consumed simultaneously…

This is a general issue. I’m holding my payments back until they address this issue. I firmly encourage all of you to do the same.

I’d been locked out for five days, and I was waiting until today for the reset. But no, I’m locked out for another seven days without even having used it!!!

The same bug. I had data allowance remaining when I shut down my computer. Upon restarting, I discovered that all my data allowances had been exhausted.

Same issue. It feels like more quota limit.

it’s been 3 days since that happened , AG team has refused to address the problem or talk with anyone. Guess they are saying if you don’t like it, take your money elsewhere.

What’s worse - when I tried to top-up my credits (I bought the 2500 credits top up), Antigravity is not recognising them at all, it’s been 12 hours and still nothing, just a “helpful“ message “You need at least 50 AI Credits to send messages. To continue using Gemini 3.1 Pro (High) now, purchase more AI Credits.“

Same issue,is it going to be like this from now on?

Mine went from this: (i had two lines of usage on pro and suddenly drained and 2 hrs to reset claude, 7 to reset pro)

There were resets in 2 and 7 hours. After the time passed, this is the picture:

Countdown reseted, but no usage was restored.

I didnt use it at all. I couldnt.

Whats the point of paying if half of the month is unusable. Will this refresh for the other half of the month? or will the same happen again.

same here. 2 weeks (still counting) without being able to use any model (other than flash).
