Clarification on Gemini API free-tier use in a public application

Hello Google AI Support,

I operate Atlas AI, a publicly accessible AI assistant built using the Gemini API through Google AI Studio.

We currently use the free-tier API and would like written clarification on the following:

  1. Is free-tier Gemini API access permitted for a publicly accessible third-party AI application?

  2. Can that application be accessed by users under 18?

  3. What data-use, human-review, retention and deletion terms apply to prompts, uploaded files/images and generated responses?

  4. Would enabling Google Cloud Billing change any of these restrictions?

We want to ensure our use complies with Google’s current terms before making further production changes.

Please identify the applicable terms and any restrictions that we need to follow.
