[BUG] Google AI Pro in Antigravity shows multi-day lockouts instead of advertised 5-hour quota refresh

Hello Everyone,

To provide you with greater control and a seamless path to scale, we are evolving our Google AI plans by introducing built-in AI credits that can now be utilized directly within Antigravity. Under this updated structure, our Google AI Pro tier is tailored for practical builders, offering generous limits for Gemini Flash alongside a baseline quota to experience our most advanced premium models. For developers operating at the highest scale who require consistent, high-volume access to our most complex models, Google AI Ultra serves as the ideal comprehensive solution.

Furthermore, we have designed these plans with maximum flexibility in mind; if you are on the Pro plan and require additional capacity or deeper premium access for intensive development sprints, you can seamlessly top up your AI credits to customize your limits and continue shipping your best work without interruption.

@Shivam_Singh2

This is really not OK.

This response is an admission of a unilateral, materially adverse change to the Google AI Pro contract. Framing a 97 percent reduction in service frequency (from a 5-hour refresh to a 168-hour lockout) as an “evolution” for “practical builders” is a direct breach of the terms accepted at the time of subscription.

  1. Breach of Pre-Paid Terms
As a yearly subscriber (pre-paid Sept 2025), my contract guarantees a 5-hour rolling refresh for Gemini 3.1 Pro. Arbitrarily downgrading this to a “baseline quota” with a 7-day lockout—while gating the promised service behind a new AI Ultra tier or additional AI Credits—is a failure to deliver the specific digital content I already purchased.

  2. Violation of Notice Requirements (EU Digital Content Directive)
Under the Google One Terms of Service (Section 4) and the EU Digital Content Directive, materially adverse changes to a paid service require at least 30 days of clear, advance notice. Rebranding a massive service reduction as a “seamless path to scale” does not constitute legal notice. You cannot “evolve” a customer out of the features they have already paid for upfront.

  3. Artificial Scaling Constraints
Claiming that “AI Credits” provide “maximum flexibility” is factually incorrect for pre-paid users. Forcing users to pay for overages to restore a service level that was previously included in their subscription is not “flexibility”—it is a paywall applied to a pre-existing contract.

Conclusion: If Google is unable or unwilling to honor the 5-hour refresh cycle for the remainder of current pre-paid yearly terms, this is a Lack of Conformity. I am not requesting a “seamless path to scale”; I am demanding the fulfillment of the contract I paid for.

I expect an immediate restoration of the 5-hour refresh frequency or a pro-rated refund for the remainder of the subscription year.

I recommend all users here to do the same.

There are several threads similar to this one. In each of them, a member of the Google support team drops the same absurd story about the “seamless path to scale”.

Clearly, they expected a reaction to their unilateral change of terms, and instructed support teams to deflect complaints this way. They even redact and lock (polite and factually correct) comments that they don’t like.

I doubt complaining here will bring us any benefits. They will keep “apologizing for the inconvenience” and wait until we get tired.

I believe the only way forward is to escalate this to billing deparments and demand a refund for the service that we have paid in advance and suddenly got locked out from.

Do it now.

Gemini 3.1 Pro not available in antigravity despite AI expanded Access, five days window to wait. Downgraded antigravity as recommended here, deleted all caches etc, to no avail. de-insalled and reinstalled antigravity, released and resubscribed AI Expanded access.
Am unsubscribing Google AI expanded access for the developers at my company and switching to claude sonnet instead.

Do you mean AI Ultra like this, dear @Shivam_Singh2 ? A month-long reported, unresolved issue, which makes antigravity unusable?

I also had this strange bug or something, where it gave me a reset time for the next day 11:30AM
but when it was that time, I got hit with a week of limit and hasn’t been able to use antigravity for a week with a pro plan, this is shitty experience , come on Google , got to do better

Hopefully , Will not be facing this issue after the said limit deadline

How long will it take to fix this issue we are just spending our money for a garbage? the issue repeated again and again. issue happened a week ago, waited so long to refresh, when refresh it shows 5 hours refresh time, when sleep and wake-up boom again same issue when you guys can fix this,

Do you guys really provide extra quota when you guys fixed? do you guys think we are donating our money to google?

I had good perspective for google earlier, now everything gone. Not a google fanboy anymore

My patience has run out. I canceled Google AI Pro. I am heading toward upgrading to the GPT Codex and Claude Code plans.

I’ve been experiencing the exact same issue for two weeks now. As soon as the 7-day limit supposedly resets, it immediately shows as ‘exhausted’. The crazy part is that I haven’t even made a single request yet.

I’m having the same problem. I’m a Google AI Pro user. I’ve been locked out for 8 days now.

Yesterday I got a new message:

”You need at least 50 AI Credits to send messages. To continue using Gemini 3.1 Pro (High) now, purchase more AI Credits. Your plan’s baseline quota will refresh on 25.3.2026, 18:19:42.”

Dear Google Support Team, Can’t you really fix this issue within a few hours? We’re all paying for this product, which is clearly still in the beta phase. Shall I really wait further 7 days paying for nothing.

I have since canceled my AI Pro subscription after this problem kept recurring. This is absolutely unacceptable!

Fiz algumas atualizações usando apenas o flash e mesmo assim ele consumiu do 3.1 Pro, ta bem complicado essa forma de usar o Antigrativy.

Same. Locked out of all 3.1 low or high access after one day of use on low - Flash Pro is not affected, but Flash Pro is awful at planning. So a sub to Anthropic Claude was paid for, and Claude thought and planned and created simple concise prompts for Flash Pro to implement. AG still needs shutting down after about 3 hours though, or it loses its mind as the context window fills. It is a shame, AG was a fantastic experience for me up until I signed up to Pro, and being locked out of capable models for a week means I will not be persisting with that subscription. It really is bizarre how a company as big as Google can F this up quite so spectacularly.

Nice try at explaining a sudden and extreme change in terms and conditions the week after I sign up under other terms and conditions. Your actions are indefensible, and your ‘path to scale’ argument is meaningless. You have breached the terms of our contract, and so have lost my trust. I will not be alone in feeling this way. No one is going to pay for Pro if it gives access to Flash only.

I saw someone saying they changed the Google AI terms?

I checked in my region (Italy), and the page that presents the plans still lists Antigraviy as Access to Gemini.
But now it also mentions Gemini CLI for other IDEs. I’ll see if the credits are accessible using another IDE.

I dont find subscribing to Ai pro even worth it.
Like out of all the models you choose the worst one to apply that 5 hour refresh to?
Gemini 3 flash is AWFUL at complex tasks.
You couldn’t make that work on 3.1 pro low at least?
Plus the ‘generous’ qouta feels the exact same as the free subscriptions.

Google AI Pro – Antigravity Quota Lockout Duration Incorrect

Problem Statement:
Users of Google AI Pro (Antigravity) are experiencing quota lockouts that last multiple days, whereas the expected behavior is a reset within approximately 5 hours.

Expected Behavior:

  • Quota limits should reset within ~5 hours after being reached.

Actual Behavior:

  • After hitting the quota limit, access remains blocked for multiple days instead of resetting within the expected timeframe.

Impact:

  • Significant disruption to workflows relying on Antigravity features

  • Reduced productivity due to extended and unexpected downtime

  • Uncertainty around quota policies and system reliability

well if you have a contract, you are bound to let your client know that t&c’s are gonna change before the start of next one, you just can’t tell them in the middle of the contract duration that you will let them get 1/5 of what’s been agreed upon.

This is a nightmare. :smiling_face_with_tear:
I’ve run into the same problem, and it’s incredibly frustrating. I like Antigravity, and I love Gemini 3.1. I started setting up an amazing personal and work space, but every time, Antigravity somehow messes things up for me and undermines my trust in it.

But while I can somehow tolerate the interface bugs and wait for a fix, the quota policy completely ruins the whole idea of working with Google models. When I bought Pro, I expected that the quota refresh every 5 hours would allow me to work freely on text-based projects and handle basic work tasks (and that doesn’t even imply a huge amount of written code yet). Twenty percent of the limit was used up on simple Git commands and sending cURL requests. But this wouldn’t be a major problem if the quota reset after the allotted hours, but it’s locked into a weekly block.

Right now, I’m in a situation where I can safely use the model only for communication, creativity, and text generation. But even here, I ran into yet another server bug involving a looping request, which ate up my quota in the same way, even though I didn’t get any results. What’s more, I lost 500 credits on a single bugged request to the server! This is madness!

I want to work normally! Stably! I want to be able to use Antigravity’s features and models. What good is this functionality to me if I have to be afraid to engage an agent for simple actions like sending a request.

Is this a policy or just a bug?
Is there any information or answers to these questions yet?
