Bug: Gemini API RPD stuck at 21/20 and not resetting at midnight PT

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing a persistent issue where my Requests Per Day (RPD) limit is not resetting. Even though the official documentation states that quotas reset at midnight Pacific Time, my dashboard has been stuck at 21/20 for several days.

Details of the issue:

  • Model: gemini-2.0-flash (Please adjust if you are using a different model)

  • Error Message: 429 RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED

  • Observed Behavior: The usage count shows “21/20” or similar values exceeding the limit, but it never returns to zero, preventing any further requests.

Steps I’ve already taken:

  1. Waited more than 48 hours to see if it would reset.

  2. Verified that it is well past midnight Pacific Time.

  3. Tested the API directly, and it consistently fails with a 429 error.

Is there a system-wide sync issue or an automated trigger that might be flagging my account incorrectly? Any help from the Google team to manually trigger a reset or investigate this provisioning mismatch would be greatly appreciated.
