Hi everyone,
I am encountering a persistent, account-level bug in Google AI Studio that completely locks me out of using any model after a few interactions.
Issue Description:
After sending roughly 10 to 20 prompts in a session, the model gets stuck in the “Working” state for several minutes (often exceeding 300 seconds) before repeatedly throwing this error:
Encountered retryable error from model provider: Agent execution terminated due to error.
Once this happens, switching models (e.g., from Gemini Pro Latest to Gemini Flash) only works for another 10–20 prompts before the new model encounters the exact same endless loop.
Troubleshooting already performed:
Tested across multiple devices (Laptop and Mobile).
Tested in Incognito mode with cleared cache and cookies.
Disabled all Tools (Code Execution, Google Search).
Created a completely new Google Cloud / AI Studio project to reset limits.
Confirmed it is not a context window limit, as starting a brand-new blank prompt with a simple “hello” yields the same error once the account gets into this state.
This issue seems tied specifically to my account’s backend state or session context rather than a local browser/network error.
Has anyone else experienced this, or could a team member take a look at my account logs? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
