Are subsidiaries of Alphabet (i.e. Verily) allowed to participate?

Hi,

I saw that Google employees, interns, TVCs and Google subsidiaries are not allowed to participate, but are employees from Alphabet subsidiaries (i.e. Verily) that are not part of Google allowed to participate? I currently work for Verily.

Hi Brian,

According to the official rules, employees, interns, and TVCs of Google LLC, as well as its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, are not eligible to participate. This restriction also applies to Alphabet subsidiaries like Verily.

You can find this information under Section 2. ELIGIBILITY, which states:

“Employees, interns, contractors, and official office-holders of Google LLC, its subsidiaries, and affiliated companies, and their immediate families and household members, are not eligible to enter the Competition.”

Given that Verily is an Alphabet subsidiary, this rule would apply to you as well.
