App builder does not do anything anymore

Hello,

I tried out the App builder the last days and I’m super impressed so far. I did build 2 apps that I work on from time to time. However since 2 days, gemini is thinking, coding and actually doing something with my requests. But the apps just dont change. I tried different stuff like “remove this field” add this feature” and so on.

It seems Gemini is coding stuff, but the app stays the same. I tried reloading, clearing the chat, doing copies of the App and try to change anything there, but its stuck on the Version from 2 days ago, no matter what I prompt or what the AI is doing in the background.

Is this only me, or does google have problems currently with this feature?

Hi @Florian_Schwalbe ,

Welcome to the Forum!
Thank you for reaching out!
Could you please try sign out from AI Studio sign in back. If the issue persists , please share a screenshot of the error log.

Yes Relog from you profile. Worked for me.

I did it all, including relog from profile but no luck. It won’t code the files, just say it did. That happened after I restore a checkpoint and I am 2 days dealing with it already. Any other idea of what to do?

This behaviour is standard, it comes with Google AI Studio, pls do not ask for screenshots. Pls try serious coding yourself and eventually this will happen.

Every now and then, I notice the same issue: the Assistant says it has updated the code or files, but nothing has actually changed. It’s unfortunate that this happens. We need maximum reliability and predictability.

When it happens, I first try prompting “approved,” and then the Assistant usually goes ahead and does make the code changes I requested.

Another technique I use is to “clean up the conversation” with the Assistant:

Click the “Reset the conversation” button

Send a simple non-coding message to the Assistant (e.g. “read my custom instructions”)

Wait for its reply.

Exit the app using the “Back to start” button.

Return to the app and continue coding.

Does this work for you as well?

Hello, I want to give an Update:

I did not change anything, just waited for 1 or 2 days, then tried again and now it seems to work. Maybe the previous “reset conversation” and trying again to change stuff did something. But when I tried this before to get the appbuilder to actually do something is wasnt resolving the issues. Waiting did, so I think this is not a user fault but on google Site.
