I am currently located in France and using the Gemini API on a server located in Hong Kong. However, when trying to make a request, I am encountering the following error:
“User location is not supported for the API use.”
Could you please help clarify if this is due to the server’s location, or if there are any regional restrictions for the API?

@Kiran_Sai_Ramineni then why are you throwing the same error when all the traffic is coming from Germany, which is on the list of supported countries, and which was working just fine since September 2024?

In our case (also located in Germany), we determined that the problem is due to our hosting provider using IP blocks that historically were assigned to Iran.
Example IP assigned by our hosting provider (Hetzner in Germany), which cause the “User location is not supported for the API use” error:
188.245.176.109
