In at least half the times that AG has automatically updated, it has broken itself to the point where I have to completely reinstall AG. Today it happened again. The symptom is that after the update, the Shortcut icons are broken, and despite the files existing, attempting to start them causes the symptom to tell me that the files cannot be found.
A lot of this happened around the time that you “Split” AG into two pieces. Ideally, this split would be reversed and you would have one installer with an option of starting in IDE mode (my preference) or Agentic 2.0 mode. But I know you won’t do that, and so instead, maybe simply fix the updater.
I should state this is a Win 11 machine, and this has happened on multiple machines from Mid-May to now, multiple times. I noticed that the updates will fire off while AG is actually running, which seems like a dangerous practice.

If you are using an older version of Antigravity, we highly recommend updating to the latest version of the Antigravity IDE, 2.5.5. This update addresses several known bugs and includes significant improvements to overall stability and performance.
Please update to version 2.5.5 to see if this resolves your issue. If you continue to experience unexpected behavior after updating, please submit a report through the built-in “Provide Feedback” feature found in the top-right corner of the interface.
I am on auto-updates. I WISH I was using an earlier version. I rebuilt yesterday. Then, today AGAIN it updated. And again today, the icon is gone, the program won’t start even when directly accessing it… It is simply a terribly made updater. It’s sad because I truly enjoy it ----I just wish the team responsible for the product also built the updater. It told me today to update (again, after breaking it yesterday) which I dismissed. Came back from errands, and now my install is broken AGAIN.
This is an unrelated bit, but on the AG IDE page, when clicking the “Download Now” you should anchor it to the IDE section, not the 2.0 section at the top of the download page.
Each time, to get it back I have to fully uninstall and then reinstall. I will let you know if it happens again on 2.5.6.
