I am getting locked out for 7 day on Gemini and calude as if I am a free user.
Extreamly unprofessional, unethical and disapointing.
And absolutely no communications from Google end.
Many thanks to @that.Steve for providing the changelog for the latest Antigravity updates.
We also appreciate the rest of the community for raising these concerns; please be assured that your feedback has been shared with our internal team for review. Thank you for your continued patience as we work to improve the Antigravity experience.
Antigravity does not use a simple “prompts per minute” counter. Instead, rate limits are calculated based on “Work Done” (computational weight). A complex agentic task—like asking the AI to refactor an entire multi-file repository—will drain your quota significantly faster than a standard chat question.
The platform enforces a dual-layer FUP to manage this:
The “Sprint” Quota (Rolling Limit):
Free Users: The quota pool refreshes on a weekly schedule.
Google AI Pro / Ultra Subscribers: You receive a much larger priority quota pool that refreshes every 5 hours.
The “Marathon” Quota (Weekly Baseline Hard Cap):
This is the hidden FUP rule that catches many users off guard. Even on paid Pro/Ultra tiers, there is a strict 7-day overall cap to prevent server abuse.
If you run heavy autonomous tasks non-stop and exhaust this 7-day baseline, your 5-hour refresh is overridden. You will be placed on a lockout (typically 5 to 7 days) until your weekly cycle resets.
To avoid hitting the hard cap, it is highly recommended to use Gemini 3 Flash for simple code edits and save Gemini 3.1 Pro or Claude 4.6 strictly for complex reasoning and deep codebase analysis.
