Hi everyone,
I’m a paying Google AI Pro subscriber (~$20/month equivalent), and I subscribed specifically for reliable, high-quota access to models like Claude 4.5/4.6 and Gemini 3.1 Pro in Antigravity — especially since I have heavy study workloads, coding projects, and deadlines to meet as a student.
Official docs promise:
“High, generous quota, refreshed every five hours” (rolling window) + significantly higher weekly limits than free tier.
What’s actually happening (January–March 2026):
-
Instead of the expected 5-hour refresh, I’m getting sudden multi-day lockouts: 4–10 days (e.g., last one was 4 days on Gemini Pro, 5–7 days on Claude).
-
Quota shows ~20–26% remaining with a ~19–23 hour timer → then instantly jumps to a “baseline quota refresh” message like “Your plan’s baseline quota will refresh on [date 3–7+ days out]”.
-
Normal usage only (studying, coding, projects — no 24/7 agent spam), yet the system applies what feels like free-tier weekly penalties to paid Pro accounts.
-
This has been widespread since the Gemini 3.1 rollout and quota tweaks: identical complaints on Reddit (r/google_antigravity), discuss.ai.google.dev, and support threads — reports of 52h, 81h, 119h, 7-day blocks on Claude Sonnet 4.6 until 04/03/2026, sudden jumps from 5h to 4–6 days, even Flash models hitting 7-day cooldowns in some cases.
I bought Pro precisely so I would never run out during study sessions and deadlines — but now I’m losing entire days waiting… How is this supposed to work for students or anyone relying on it?
What I’ve tried (none fully fix it):
-
Support tickets → generic “check the docs” replies, no resolution.
-
Switching to Flash → helps a bit for lighter tasks, but too weak for serious reasoning/coding.
-
Account rotation → already maxed out (13 accounts), still hit limits.
-
Re-subscribe / payment profile reset → worked for some earlier, but not consistently now
-
