Antigravity Login/Setup Error "Unexpected issue setting up your account" + Feedback Submit Fail – AI Pro User Locked Out After Logout

Hello Antigravity / Google AI team,

I’m locked out of Antigravity desktop app after logout to troubleshoot “Loading models…” stuck in Agent Manager.

**Account & Environment:**

- Subscription: Google AI Pro (Gemini AI Pro active)

- Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

- Date/Time: January 22, 2026 ~15:45 +07

- App: Latest Antigravity desktop (post-reinstall)

- OS: [Windows]

**Full Steps to Reproduce:**

1. Agent Manager stuck at “Loading models…” (popup endless loading, Refresh not working).

2. Tried Ctrl+Shift+P “Reset onboarding”, clear cache, kill processes.

3. Logged out from profile to reset.

4. Google OAuth completes, but app shows:

“There was an unexpected issue setting up your account. Please try again later.” (red X popup)

5. Retried: reboot, nuke config folders (AppData/Roaming/Antigravity, .antigravity, etc.), reinstall fresh app → same error.

6. Incognito/web version (antigravity.google) also fails setup.

7. Tried different networks, waited 30+ min → no change.

**Additional Issue Today:**

- Tried to submit in-app feedback (Settings → Provide Feedback) with detailed description (including steps above, subscription, location, impact on durian farm dashboard project).

- Submit fails with: “An error occurred while submitting your feedback. Please try again.”

- Checkbox “Attach Antigravity server logs” and “Send feedback as” checked, but still error.

**Impact:**

- Completely blocked from using Antigravity.

- Can’t continue multi-agent project (dashboard with Recharts, gauges, irrigation button).

- Previously app worked perfectly.

**What I’ve tried:**

- Multiple logins/reboots/reinstalls

- Nuke all config/cache folders

- Incognito & web fallback

- Waited between attempts

- Different networks

This seems widespread today (many recent threads on forum with AI Pro users affected after logout). Please investigate/fix server-side account setup and feedback submission ASAP.

Thank you for the quick help!

Phan

Update:
But still can’t login to Antigravity desktop – same “unexpected issue setting up your account” popup after Google auth redirect. Tried login multiple times post-hold lift, reboot, kill process – no change.

Seeing many similar threads today (outage models/loading/login). Any known fix or ETA from team?

Thanks!

Phan

Mark this. I also have the same problem today.

same issue facing here

Switch to the US region to log in, and then wait for the fix.

Thanks for the quick fix!
Confirmed that login + account setup now work normally on my side (Antigravity desktop + web).
Multi-agent workflows are unblocked again. Appreciate the fast response from the team!

How long did you have to wait for things to be fixed?

tengo problema tambien

How did you manage to successfully log in? Despite trying various methods, I was unable to do so.

@brian4la I waited about 24-36 hours total (from the initial stuck loading models + logout fail on Jan 22 to full fix on Jan 23). After posting detailed steps and getting many users marking same issue, the server-side account sync fixed itself. Hang in there, it should resolve soon for everyone!

@Jey_Jey Same here bro! Many of us got stuck with the same login/setup error after logout. I posted the full steps + what I tried, so hopefully Google fixes it fast for all of us. Keep marking the thread, it helps push them to prioritize. Hang tight!

@wanyue_chen I was stuck the same way (OAuth pass but “unexpected issue setting up your account” popup). What finally worked for me was just waiting 24-36 hours after posting the detailed thread – the server-side sync fixed itself (probably because many users reported it). No special method, just time. Try waiting a bit more or use incognito/web version as fallback. Hope it resolves soon for you!

Final update: Bug fully fixed on my side (login/setup/multi-agent all normal after ~24-36h server sync). thanks everyone who marked same issue and team for fast fix!

Are you now Encountering the Absurd Limits they have put instead of 5 hour limit on paid plans to now a Week, Basically no distinction between paid and unpaid users

@username Yeah, I’m seeing the same thing. Paid plans (Gemini Advanced / AI Pro) used to have much higher limits (like 5-hour continuous sessions + higher rate limits), but after recent updates it’s switched to weekly quotas that reset every Monday. Many paid users are burning through it in 1-2 days and then waiting the rest of the week – basically feels like no real difference from free tier anymore.

Forum is full of complaints about this now. Hopefully Google adjusts it soon, because it’s pushing people to cancel subscriptions. What limits are you hitting exactly (prompts per day/week or session time)?

Well If I have to say almost after 10 prompts I am hitting 20 % of My limits(based on the tasks you give it since It is actually based on token amounts and that varies with the tasks) and Now Since 2 days I am seeing that It has now capped My Claude Resets to About 36hr, don’t even know if it will be a Full reset as Some people are saying that even after a full 3 day reset they are only getting 20% refilled(which will be exhausted in about 2-3 prompts depending on the tasks)

Also I read some Post about the same issue where a Google Representative is saying ( I will be translating this in a Simple words, if I can find I will link the comment here again) : They are Limiting so as to accommodate the huge influx in requests and thus these things would likely stay..

So I think The Previous Outage Was Exactly to do this rate limiting only which is in my opinion is a Scummy tactic but They now have a Legal Thing to say about it as They Haven’t mentioned any Higher limits to Pro and Ultra Users About Antigravity in their Pricing Page and Thus will get away with it After getting our money

@Badjyoti Totally agree – paid limits feel nerfed hard after the outage. 36h resets + partial refills (20%) make it feel like no real difference from free tier for heavy use. Seen the same Google rep comment about “handling influx” but yeah, pricing page doesn’t reflect this change. How many prompts are you getting before hitting the wall now?

same problem
I tried with several different emails but I still get the same error.

I’m facing the same issue. I don’t know what to do next

@Fossil_Fossil Thanks for chiming in and confirming it’s the same issue – sorry you’re dealing with this too!

I tried multiple emails/accounts as well (even fresh ones), but still stuck on the red popup “There was an unexpected issue setting up your account. Please try again later.” after OAuth succeeds. Trying different emails doesn’t help because it seems like a server-side/redirect flow problem (possibly tied to IP, region, or auth token corruption), not per-account.

Quick updates from my tests:

  • Connected via **mobile hotspot (4G/5G from phone)** + nuked %APPDATA%\Antigravity folder again → still fail for me, but some users in other threads (e.g., Stack Overflow) fixed it this way to bypass network blocks.
  • Tried VPN (US/Switzerland server) during login → OAuth ok, but redirect to app fails same error.
  • Feedback submit in-app also broken for me.

Have you tried the mobile hotspot trick yet? Or any other workaround that worked for you? Let’s share what we’ve tried to narrow it down.

@GoogleAntigravity team – any update on this widespread login setup issue post-Jan 22 outage? Many Pro users locked out after logout.

Appreciate the input!
