Honestly, the previous Flash was great, especially in terms of speed compared to Pro. But hitting us with these quotas is just ridiculous. In the end, we all saw the news that Google developers created a special optimization plugin—or whatever it’s called—that significantly reduces server load and memory usage. This proves they don’t actually need that many resources under the hood. Yet, for months now, they’ve been juggling these quotas, failing to reach a compromise or clearly state what their strategy even is.
To be fair, gemini-cli works pretty well overall, and the quota for Flash 3.1 there is absolutely massive. But the fact that the Antigravity IDE was so good and they somehow decided to abandon it is just mind-boggling. It was a true alternative on the market. I actually managed to fully migrate to it from VS Code and didn’t regret it for a second, and now they pull this stunt.
