AI Studio redirects to /520 and fails to list imported projects with “permission denied”

  5. gcloud projects describe jarvis-mk1-505320 succeeds.
  6. Generative Language API is enabled.
  7. AI Studio says “Failed to list imported projects: permission denied.”
  8. The Import Projects dialog becomes stuck/loading.
  9. AI Studio goes through 404 → /520.
  10. It happens in normal Edge.
  11. It happens in InPrivate.
  12. It happens on your phone.
  13. It happens using your phone’s cellular hotspot.
  14. A different Google account also reaches /520.

  • Screenshots of the error and page state

  • Login email ID associated with the account via DM.

  • Video recording showing the issue in action (if possible)

Hi, I’m experiencing the same issue. The problem persists across both desktop and mobile, while regular Gemini works normally. My AI Studio files are still present in Google Drive, but AI Studio cannot load them. Send Feedback is now also failing. I can provide my account email privately via DM if needed.

AI Studio repeatedly redirects between two pages:

  • https://aistudio.google.com/404
  • https://aistudio.google.com/gemini-api/docs/available-regions
  1. During the redirection process, the following errors appear repeatedly:
    • Unable to check your Google AI subscription.
    • Failed to list models: permission denied. Please try again.
  2. The page eventually becomes stuck at:
    • https://aistudio.google.com/520
  3. AI Studio is unable to connect to Google Drive:
    • Failed to connect to Google Drive.
  4. None of the following troubleshooting steps resolve the issue:
    • Switching browsers
    • Using Incognito/InPrivate mode
    • Signing out and signing back in
    • Changing the network connection
    • Revoking Google Drive authorization and reauthorizing it
  5. The Google account itself appears to be functioning normally. Other Google services, including Google Drive and Google Account, remain fully accessible.
