Addressing Inquiries about Submissions

Hey All,

Since the launch of the voting page and the email announcement, I’ve received a high high high volume of inquiries regarding updates, corrections, and the status of submissions.

I would like to clarify the following points:

YouTube Link Updates:
I cannot and will not update YouTube links. If your video was posted after August 12th, it will not be accepted. Your original submission will be used for evaluation, and if it’s the same app, it should generally receive the same score. Accepting videos after the deadline would be unfair to other participants as you have had far more time to beautify it. I just received a request to update to a video posted last week…

Missing Submissions:
If you did not receive a confirmation link or your video is not listed, it means your submission was deemed invalid. This could be due to missing required information or incorrect formatting. While I understand the effort invested in this competition, the submission form was clear on what was required. Unfortunately, due to the sheer volume of requests and the nature of these issues (often stemming from a lack of attention to detail), I cannot accommodate these changes.

Typos and Misspellings: We imported the information exactly as you entered it. If there’s a misspelling, it will remain as is. It’s simply not feasible to manually edit each submission page for minor corrections.

I am diligently working to address all other requests. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Please understand with the sheer number of submissions I cannot accommodate small copy changes right now.

The only wrong thing I remember when I submitted was that I asked for a copy yet I didn’t receive any!

Did you read the rules for eligibility?
For example, is your country eligible?
It’ll be good to check here for peace of mind.

My name is Richard Duodu, CEO of Metaschool AI, a Ghanaian startup that participated in the Gemini API Competition. Unfortunately, there appears to be an error with the video URL associated with our submission, Metaschool AI.

We inadvertently entered the wrong URL during the competition period. The correct video URL is https://youtu.be/RFRyUEFfVt8.

I would be incredibly grateful if it would be possible to update our submission with the correct video link.
