Dear Google AI Studio Team,
Add buttom “Delete Chat”
I’ve noticed that in the recent interface update, the “Delete Chat” button has disappeared from the chat window with the AI. Now, it seems the only way to delete a chat is through the Library.
This change is quite inconvenient. Previously, it was very efficient to quickly delete a chat directly from the active chat window if you decided you no longer needed it.
The current process to delete an old chat is much more cumbersome:

Go to the Library and find the chat you want to delete.

Click “Clear Chat”. This action clears the entire dialogue and, annoyingly, brings the chat to the very top of your Library list.

Go back to the Library and finally delete the now top-most chat.
This is a significantly longer and less intuitive process compared to the previous functionality where you could simply glance at a chat and delete it immediately from within the chat window if it was no longer needed.
Could you please consider adding back the “Delete Chat” button to the chat window? Returning this functionality would greatly improve the user experience and make managing chats much more efficient.
