Account locked — "Requesting generations too quickly" persisting 5+ hours (Error 253, manual reset request)

Hi Google Flow team,

I’m experiencing the persistent “You’re requesting generations too quickly. Please wait a moment and try again.” error in Google Flow. The error first appeared approximately 5 hours ago and has not resolved, despite minimal usage prior to it occurring — I haven’t come close to any documented generation limits. Also, I’m a Pro account user.

The behaviour matches the pattern of the Error 253 backend rate-limit loop discussed in several other recent threads here.

Troubleshooting already attempted:

  • Hard refresh (Cmd+Shift+R)
  • Cleared browser cache and cookies
  • Tested in an incognito window
  • Started fresh projects
  • Waited 5+ hours between retry attempts

The error persists across all of the above. Could you please trigger a manual quota reset / backend synchronisation on my account so I can resume generations?

Happy to share the following via DM on request:

  • Account email
  • Subscription tier
  • Approximate timestamp the lock began
  • Any relevant request IDs from my browser console

Thanks very much for the help.

I am experiencing the same issue as described above. My Google Flow account is completely blocked by error 253 (“Requesting generations too quickly”) and a “suspicious activity” message.

What I have already tried:

  • Waiting for more than 3 days

  • Clearing cache and cookies

  • Incognito mode

  • Different browser

  • Different device

  • Created a new Gmail account

Nothing works. Please perform a manual quota reset for my account.
