I have been using gemini 2.5 flash for more than 2 month now, same code, same prompt, but currently i get 429 a lot on a daily basis for a week now although not hitting rate limit at all

We have the same problem for 3 days. We were very far from rate limits. We’ve switched to VertexAI’s api key immidiately at the first day and it didn’t throw 429 till now. However response times are now 2-4x slower.
We tried to use google ai studio’s apikey today again. The problem (429) is still exist.
