When using Gemini Pro through the API with a paid account, I am getting 429 Quota Exhuasted errors (but not when using Flash). However, it isn’t possible that I am actually hitting my quota (haven’t used it for several days), and even when I log into my Cloud Console and look at the quota dashboard, it shows that I am at 0% of the quote.
@Vishal the unreliability of this API is totally unacceptable for a company of Google’s magnitude. Every single week it’s a new bs issue.
@Vishal We’re also constantly getting 429 errors despite using a paid plan through the developer API (which we’ve been using fine for months). I believe this is a new issue on Gemini’s side due to the new shared dynamic resource allocation.

Hey folks, we just pushed a fix for this issue on the Developer API, so it shouldn’t be occurring anymore. Can you please let me know if you’re still experiencing 429s while being below your rate limits?
I am also getting this error at the moment. I am testing it locally on google cloud functions emulator and I am certain I am not going above the quota.
I am using the Gemini API (gemini-2.0-flash-lite-preview-02-05), and I encounter a 429 error if I make multiple requests within a minute. However, if I immediately switch to another API key, it starts working again.
I am a paid user, and I have confirmed that my paid account is properly linked to the Gemini API project. I also checked the API usage reports and did not receive any warnings about exceeding the quota.
I’m still encountering this issue. Project number : 1038785147219
I’m using Gemini API, flash 2.0.
As a result of multiple tests, 429 errors occur for a certain period of time after two simple requests per minute.
Please let me know if there is any update.
