I’m using gemini-1.5-pro (paid plan)
429 errors have occasionally occurred before, but the frequency of errors has increased recently. About 10 hours ago, more than 10 429 errors were reported within seconds.
When a 429 error occurs, the user’s response time increases dramatically, which has a very negative impact on service satisfaction.
The bigger problem is that when a 429 error occurs, there aren’t many technical ways to respond other than waiting.
It also seems to be an issue that there’s no relevant notice or response from Google.
How should we respond when a 429 error occurs?
Or does Google have plans to provide an API that allows monitoring of traffic conditions and 429 error situations by region?
Also, from the perspective of a company providing services through the Gemini API, the phenomena caused by 429 errors are very critical issues in terms of user satisfaction, so there is a need to respond quickly.
Could you provide more detailed guidance on Provisioned Throughput and process it faster?
Thanks!
