Nano Banana Pro / Nano Banana 2 generates the correct preview image inside the Thoughts section, but the final rendered image is blank or corrupted.
The issue occurs in both Google AI Studio and the Gemini API.
It started on June 19 2026. The same prompts worked correctly the previous day without any changes to my settings or prompts.
Observed Behavior
Default resolution sometimes works.
2K resolution consistently fails.
4K resolution consistently fails.
The Thoughts section displays a correctly generated preview image, indicating that the model successfully understands and generates the requested image.
However, the final output is either completely blank, a solid-colored image, or a severely corrupted/blob-like image.
Since the preview image is generated correctly while the final output is corrupted, this appears to be a failure in the post-processing, upscaling, encoding, or image delivery pipeline rather than a prompt or safety-filter issue.

Generating the image, on phone app or website, makes the image look clear. Then, when you download it in full resolution first on website, upscaling makes this problem.
If you do the same process, but you download it first from app, image will not upscale to 2k or 4k and will appear right, but in low definition.
I have the same problem since this morning, and support claims that there are no messages or errors, they demanded data from my PC, saying that the problem is mine and not theirs.
