I am experiencing a specific localized technical issue with the YouTube “Ask Gemini” AI feature on my Google account. The text output generated by the AI is completely broken and corrupted specifically for Cyrillic languages, including Russian and Ukrainian.
When I interact with the feature in English, the output works perfectly. Furthermore, I even tested typing in Russian, explicitly requesting the AI to “ПИШИ НА АНГЛИЙСКОМ” (write in English), and it successfully returned a normal, clean output in English. However, when I type in Russian and ask the AI to summarize a video (“перескажи видео”), the generated output is completely broken. For Russian and Ukrainian language outputs, the responses display random punctuation marks (commas, colons, dots), broken words, and incorrect formatting placeholders. This issue has been occurring consistently for over a week now.
This Cyrillic text bug remains active across multiple devices, mobile browsers, and different smartphones while using my account.
I have attached a screenshot demonstrating how the text formatting is broken. Please inspect my account’s server-side localization settings and resolve this rendering bug affecting the Ask Gemini feature for Russian and Ukrainian languages.
