"Your project has been denied access. Please contact support."

As of earlier today, we’re getting this error for all our calls to the Gemini API: “GoogleGenerativeAIFetchError: [GoogleGenerativeAI Error]: Error fetching from https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/v1beta/models/gemini-2.5-flash-lite:generateContent: [403 Forbidden] Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.” All was OK till 12 hours ago. Cloud Assist finds nothing wrong, says to “Contact Support” which, as we all know, does not exist. The only other option it suggested was to “post a request for a manual review on the Google AI Developers Forum , providing your project ID dftly-messaging”, which is what I am doing now. Now what?`

I am also facing the exact same issue starting today 8 hours ago.All was OK till 12 hours ago

My API calls to Gemini are suddenly failing with the 403 Forbidden error: “Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.”

I implemented ADC (Application Default Credentials) and the problem went away.
