Wow, we've used up our quota super fast!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to check in – it’s not just me who’s hitting this ‘Quota limits exceeded’ issue, is it? I used to be able to work on my projects for hours, but lately, like yesterday, I only managed three prompts before my limit was reached. I was totally speechless!

I get that Google’s under construction and making some big changes, which is awesome, and I’m loving the new updates – just not the ‘Quota limits’, haha.

Any feedback would be great, thanks!
Cheers.

I get it, thanks for that.

Same here, free tier exceeded after just one prompt and didn’t even completed and my pro key same thing, it says I have to wait 17 hours to try next request

I made some good progress today, hit my free quota so choose a key but that doesn’t work as noted by others. Frustrating as I really want to continue working may app, with what is frankly, an awesome tool, that is also great fun to work with, bar the odd hiccup. Great job Google!

I’d have to agree though, for those that have deployed products and have real business dependencies, the last week is an unwelcome blip to say the least.

:crossed_fingers: things will be fully resolved and progress can resume. I’m excited to see new features and capabilities in the coming weeks!

Pretty sure the prompts are being throttled keep the app running at this time.

Hey!
We’ve actually found that running on a much lower model works way better for now and is a lot smoother.
Let us know how you guys are getting on?

I always got 503 error, does anyone know how do I fix this?

what model are you using?

im using 3.1 pro preview

Hi, This all depends on your task at hand. For smaller, simpler jobs, use a lower model; this way, you are doing something rather than nothing. If you only have complex tasks to do, then wait for Model 3.1 to work. Otherwise, if you can wait for 3.1 and you have done lots of smaller tasks in, e.g., 2.5, then once 3.1 is more trustworthy, put all the small tasks together and make Model 3.1 work.

Its so annoying I have been using 2.5 Pro since it came out on Studio but it runs out so quickly , before this year last year i was going to 250k tokens+ before running into max quota. And this year I have so many big projects that I need small help on every now and then and withing 5 prompts I reach max quota and I pretty much can’t do anything because this is the only good AI I found the normal Gemini AI.

Yes, Google AI Studio is really awesome and a real mind-blower, showing how fast the world is moving forward, but obviously having updates done while we are on it is not ideal. However, being on the lower model usually gives you more tokens, but this does not help with complex tasks. The way I see it – and this is the way – something has to give. So, moving to Tier 1 gives you more tokens and more room to play. Check this out: ‘https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/rate-limits’. However, if you want to become even more serious, check this out, an even better powerhouse: ‘Google Antigravity

Having this problem for 3 weeks now…

Please remove the limit or significantly increase it for Gemini Pro paid users.

It’s a shame that the limit has been reduced from 1500 requests per day to a ridiculous 10 requests. It’s impossible to work like this.
Or introduce an additional subscription.

Using the API is unpredictable for me in terms of the costs involved. For me, it’s not a calculable product.

Whatever you do, please do it quickly.

Same problem here. What bothers me most is that when developing code with Antigravity, the vast majority of token/usage is Gemini repairing its own errors. I wish I had a count on each time Gemini responded, “That was my mistake and you are right to be frustrated.” As a professional programmer, I completely understand that there is not an LLM that is ‘perfect’. But until that day comes, I believe that it is only fair that Gemini up their usage limits to offset such continual errors, at least.

Yes– I’ve seen this as well. Normally I only use playground in google AI studio but after the persistent pop up banner for the last couple days, I wanted to check out build. Not only did I reach my quota after about 10 minutes of 3.0 flash, but I then couldn’t use playground at all, even 2.0 FL. I don’t have an API key, so does anyone know what the limits are and how frequently they reset for users like me? Thanks, Theo.
