Environment
- Antigravity IDE version: 2.1.1
- OS: Windows 11
- Installation source: Official Antigravity IDE download page
Issue
After updating to Antigravity IDE 2.1.1, Windows occasionally displays the following notification:
“Part of this app has been blocked”
The blocked executable is:
C:\Users\mraj7\AppData\Local\Programs\Antigravity IDE\resources\app\extensions\antigravity\bin\language_server_windows_x64.exe
The notification appears most consistently after force-closing the IDE and launching it again, although it has also appeared after the update.
Investigation
- The issue started only after updating to version 2.1.1.
- The IDE was downloaded from the official Antigravity website.
- VirusTotal reports only 1/67 detections (single ML-based detection), suggesting this is likely a reputation/signing issue rather than malware.
- Both “Antigravity IDE.exe” and “language_server_windows_x64.exe” have an empty “Digital Signatures” tab in their file properties, indicating they are not Authenticode signed.
Expected behavior
The Windows executables shipped with Antigravity IDE should be Authenticode signed so that Windows Smart App Control and other application reputation systems can verify and trust them.
Question
Is it expected that the Windows executables in Antigravity IDE 2.1.1 are unsigned, or is this a packaging/signing issue with the current release?
I have provided screenshots of:
-
The Windows notification (“Part of this app has been blocked”)
-
The empty Digital Signatures tab for both executables
-
