Summary
The latest macOS Apple Silicon installer (Antigravity IDE.dmg v2.5.5) appears to have been released without a valid Apple Developer ID signature / stapled Apple Notarization ticket. As a result, macOS Gatekeeper blocks the installation and execution with a malware verification error.
Steps to Reproduce
- Download the official macOS Apple Silicon installer from
antigravity.google/download(Build2.5.5-4923483625488384). - Open
Antigravity IDE.dmg. - Attempt to drag
Antigravity IDEto/Applicationsor launch the application.
Observed Behavior
macOS Gatekeeper intercepts the application and displays the following blocking prompt:
“Antigravity IDE” Not Opened
Apple could not verify “Antigravity IDE” is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy.
[Done] [Move to Trash]
Users cannot drag the app to Applications via Finder or launch it without manually stripping quarantine attributes.
Expected Behavior
The .dmg and .app bundle should be signed with a valid Apple Developer ID and notarized via Apple’s notary service (xcrun notarytool / stapler staple) so standard macOS users can install and open the application seamlessly.
