Can the Gemini team add an option to turn off the ‘thinking’ process in Gemini pro 2.5?
I think for some tasks we need to turn off the reasoning so the model doesn’t drone on when the task doesn’t require thinking.

Hi, you can not turn off thinking but you can reduce thinking budget to minimum or you might have to use a different model.
Gemini 2.5 pro need to have the same function has Gemini 2.5 flash, which is to be turned off. the way Gemini overreact or overuse it’s thinking process almost all the time make it generate bland shit over and over, which happened for me over 8 months… I’m fed up with this… I will simply turn back to Venice or Anthropic if Google cannot let us such simple options to our disposition… it angers us all more than anything they could do without lifting a single finger for it. Massive L to them. No one want to say it because they’re afraid of retaliation, so I say it for them.
