I’ve started receiving a 429 error. I’m creating a key in the Google Cloud Console, the key is tier 0, and after the first request, requests to the key stop working, and I receive the following error: “error”: {
“code”: 429,
“message”: “You exceeded your current quota, please check your plan and billing details. For more information on this error, head to: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/rate-limits.”,
“status”: “RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED”
}.
I am experiencing this same issue. I am on the Tier 2 of the paid tier and I am getting. There hasn’t being any traffic for the better part of the last two hours but the page says I am generating requests. I deleted my keys two days ago so there is no way any of this information is public. Can any one explain this issue. It started last week and seems to be an issue.
Hello,
Welcome to the Forum!
This looks like a quota exhaustion error, which should resolve once your quota limits are replenished. To help us analyze this further and provide you with a more accurate response, could you please share the complete error message you are receiving?
How about my case where there are charges to my account when I had no keys and sudden pop up of keys I never generated. They are in AI studio but not in my cloud console credential list.
Could you please share your complete error message so that we can analyze this issue better?
I don’t have an error message just unnecessary/fraudulent/broken billing. I suddenly woke up to 100x the number of requests and 429 errors when my api keys was NOT being used. I have api keys in my account that do not belong to me because I did not create them.
