Timeline for adding Syria to the available regions for the Gemini API and Google AI Studio?

Hi,

I’m a developer based in Syria. Since US sanctions on Syria have been significantly eased (Executive Order 14312 of June 30, 2025, and later steps), I’d like to ask whether there is any timeline for adding Syria to the list of available regions for Google AI Studio and the Gemini API.

The current “Available regions” page doesn’t list Syria (last updated 2026-04-28), so developers here can’t use the API for legitimate projects.
