I started seeing this error today,
“The service is receiving too many requests from you, Resource has been exhausted (e.g. check quota).”
and it’s impacting our operations. I’m nowhere near my quota limit since I’m on Tier 3, and I’m specifically using the 3-flash-preview model. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?
Hello @Bmcneko,
One thing to check: Are you perhaps hitting your search grounding limits? This can happen before reaching the other limits in tier 3.
Otherwise -
- Could you send me a DM with your project number?
- Are you seeing this in AI Studio or through the Gemini API?
- Could you show us a complete response screenshot or text including any response code?

I am experiencing the same error:
“The service is receiving too many requests from you”
However, my case seems different from a normal quota issue.
My situation:
• I use Gemini API in n8n
• An accidental automation loop caused abnormal traffic on May 13
• My billing account was charged BRL 210.52
• I contacted Google Billing Support
• Billing support confirmed:
I also checked my rate limits in Google AI Studio, and I am currently below RPM, TPM, and RPD limits.
Despite this, both Google AI Studio and my n8n workflow still return:
“The service is receiving too many requests from you”
Has anyone experienced this after a billing adjustment or abnormal traffic spike?
Could this be a temporary backend restriction, abuse protection lock, or quota synchronization issue?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
