lol I wonder what’s free-tier and plus-tier people are going through. Probably fully locked out like how Claude code is only available for pro and over

Bring back Gemini 3 Flash 5h refresh please, do not need 3.5 flash.
I found an unofficial documentation for Antigravity, which is cool but when i checked the data was shocking.
many things changed, the quota cut was 92%!
That’s brutal!!! What the hell
I’ve been using flash for review work. Within less than 20 hours I’ve burned more than half my weekly usage? I was asleep half that time, was only actually used antigravity mildly, Since I also use Claude Code and Codex (which is my main workhorse), and it seems I won’t be able to even come close to using it even as just a review agent alongside my other subscriptions, even though I’m on Pro. Not to mention, the email about these compute based changes didn’t come until 7:30pm, 15 hours after I started the weekly limit. This feels like a rugpull, in combination with the changes made to the CLI and Antigravity (which caused me to have to switch to Cursor for the IDE since they removed it and I use the terminal heavily).
All in all, I think a reset is in order. I would have used 3.5 sparingly if I knew I could exhaust my weekly limit like this. In both codex and claude code, this would be impossible. Even if you fully use your 5-hour limit in those, it would take days worth of 5 hour windows to fully burn your weekly limit. Yet I could do it easily in 20 hours while only running it for maybe 1.5-2 hours. I’ve been on the Pro plan for 6+ months, and this is the worst experience I’ve had so far with it. For a company with extremely deep pockets, this doesn’t feel like the way to gain a loyal userbase.
That’s probably why the Ultra plan has been reduced to $100.
Quick update: It looks like this issue might have been resolved. My 5-hour quota has refreshed again. I am willing to give Antigravity another chance, but I will be closely monitoring the quota burn behavior moving forward.
I have canceled my Pro Subscription.
i think its time to switch to a different IDE or maybe just self host gemma4 or qwen coder.
a bad compensation :(((((((((((((((((
It is the same for me. And even more, after the 5 hours refresh it just refreshes to 60%!!
In my case, after 5 hours it went back to 100% and 1 minute later it dropped to 60%, again taking 5 days to recharge. They should explain what’s happening, what method they intend to continue with, and really, having all 4 models consuming data simultaneously has been very detrimental. Before, I worked with the flash most of the time and used the pro when I needed more power. In this current format, today I spent 30 minutes idle after running out of data, and it wasn’t even exhausting work.
I’m extremely disappointed with the new limits. I now have to wait an entire week before I can continue my work, which feels unreasonable considering I’m paying for a Pro subscription. Previously, I was able to work daily without these kinds of restrictions. This change has had a direct negative impact on my productivity and workflow.
The new quota system is truly unfair… you should roll back to the old system. I have no idea who is responsible for this unreasonable decision but i know that this will lead millions of users to leave, basically you can’tdo a thing with this so called quota limits.
That figure of millions of users is probably not accurate. The number of active users on this forum is closer to the truth, which is why these changes have been made. They aren’t afraid of the backlash, because it’s not significant when you consider the total number of Google users.
Signed up to the forum just to agree that this is complete trash. It was nice while it lasted, but it didn’t last very long at all. It stopped in the middle of a task, leaving my project in a broken state, and now I can’t do anything for 6 days? Unacceptably awful. I’ve canceled the renewal of my Pro subscription until I hear that this was just a horrible mistake.
As many are saying, I used AG specifically because of the Flash rate limits. At most, I only had to wait a few hours until I could use it again. It felt reasonable, and was my workhorse for simple tasks. If this weekly refresh limit is intentional, then it has made AG entirely useless for me. I couldn’t care less if it’s faster if it means it can only be used for 1 day of the week. Really hoping that this is some sort of mistake, and that it will go back to refreshing every few hours. As-is, I was much happier with Flash 3.0, because even if it sometimes took a few prompts to get things right, the refresh rate meant that I could keep prompting it.
6 days until refresh is just absolute “Modified by moderator”
