Please add a “Don’t show again” checkbox for users who prefer stateless/temporary sessions without connecting Google Drive.
An alternative solution would be to make the connection to Google Drive available via a toggle switch in the right hand column.
Not being able to turn that annoying banner permanently off is a true nightmare ! It forces you to scroll up to read the answer. People who use Google AI for Developers know what they want. Let them choose, please.
I agree. Clicking the X button should permanently dismiss the banner, at least until the user chooses to enable it again. For users who intentionally prefer temporary or stateless sessions, seeing the same message after every prompt becomes distracting.
A simple “Don’t show again” option or a setting in the preferences panel would solve this problem. Giving users control over whether to connect Google Drive would provide a much better experience without affecting users who want to use Drive integration.
Hopefully the team can add an option for this.
