Support Request for European Portuguese (pt-PT) in Gemini Live API

Hello,

I would like to know if there is any plan or roadmap to add support for European Portuguese (pt-PT) in the Gemini Live API.

Currently, the API only supports pt-BR (Brazilian Portuguese), but for applications targeting the Portuguese/European market, pt-PT would be essential to ensure a natural user experience.

Context:

  • I am developing a voice agent using the ADK (Agent Development Kit) with the gemini-2.5-flash-native-audio-preview model.

  • The target audience is Portuguese users.

  • There are significant differences between pt-BR and pt-PT (vocabulary, pronunciation, expressions).

Question:
Is there any scheduled date or plan to add pt-PT to the list of supported languages in the Gemini Live API?

There is no public roadmap or announced date for adding European Portuguese (pt-PT) to the Gemini Live API at this time, and current docs only list Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR) among supported languages.
