Hello Antigravity Team,
I am stuck in the following loop when trying to use Antigravity:
“Further action is required to use Antigravity.
Please verify your account, then sign in again to continue.”
Details:
- Personal Gmail account
- Country version on policies.google.com/terms: United States
- Age verification: completed
- 2-Step Verification is enabled (Google Prompt + Authenticator)
- Gemini web works normally with the same account
- Browser authentication completes successfully and shows “Authentication successful” with Antigravity listed as authorized
- After returning to the app, it always goes back to the Verify screen
When I click Verify, it shows a QR code. After scanning, it requires sending an SMS to a Google short code (244444 / 96831).
Unfortunately I am unable to successfully send this SMS (the message fails to deliver).
I have already tried:
- Revoking all Antigravity / Gemini Code Assist / Cloud Code access from myaccount.google.com/connections
- Reset Onboarding
- Clearing local folders (%APPDATA%\Antigravity and %USERPROFILE%.gemini)
- Testing with a second personal Google account (same result)
- Clean reinstall of Antigravity
Could someone from the team please check the account and manually reset/clear the verification or entitlement flag so I can complete sign-in?
Thank you very much for your help.
Hi @kamus_damsaz,
Welcome to the Forum.
Could you please try the following:
- Use
"Device check" on an Android Device & Trigger Verification via Antigravity 2.0 / CLI:
- Instead of scanning the QR code to send an SMS to
244444 / 96831, open the verification link directly on an Android phone or tablet already signed into your Google account and select “Device check” instead of SMS. Also clear any pending prompts at Google Account Security and Notifications.
- If Antigravity IDE (
v2.5.5) still loops, sign into the latest Antigravity 2.0 (v2.18.1) or Antigravity CLI (v1.2.11) (Download / Changelog), send a prompt to trigger and complete verification, then sign back into Antigravity IDE.
- Disable VPN / Proxy & Use Incognito: Routing to US short codes (
244444 / 96831) across multiple accounts usually happens when a VPN/proxy is active or your physical carrier differs from a US network/account region. Disable any VPN/proxy, verify your location is in the Geographical Availability FAQ, and sign in via a fresh Incognito window.
- Share Diagnostic Logs: If the loop persists, please share the logs from
Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console and View > Output > Antigravity Language Server along with your physical country and IDE version.
Subject: Antigravity verification loop on three Google accounts — SMS verification unavailable
Hello Google Antigravity Support Team,
I am unable to complete the Antigravity account verification process.
My situation:
-
I tested three different Google accounts, and all three encounter the same problem.
-
Antigravity 2.0 (v2.23.0) and Antigravity IDE both display: “Further action is required to use Antigravity.”
-
Google authentication succeeds in the browser, but the desktop application returns to the verification screen.
-
My Google phone number is verified, two-step verification is enabled, and Google states that no additional age verification is required.
-
The Google Terms of Service page displays the United States country version.
-
The SMS verification process cannot be completed because my mobile carrier cannot send messages to the requested short code.
I initially encountered network timeouts, but I corrected the local proxy configuration. The verification loop still persists.
I also reviewed the application logs, but could not identify a definitive verification rejection code.
Could you please investigate whether this is an account verification, device verification, regional eligibility, or backend entitlement issue?
Please also advise whether an alternative verification method is available.
I can provide sanitized diagnostic logs and screenshots if needed.
Thank you.
Title: Antigravity Stuck in Verification Loop Despite Successful Google Account Verification
Hello Google Antigravity Team,
I’m experiencing a persistent account verification loop when trying to sign in to Antigravity on Windows 11.
Issue Description:
After signing in with my Google account, Antigravity repeatedly displays a verification requirement. However, when I follow the verification link, the Google verification page indicates that my account has already been successfully verified.
Returning to Antigravity immediately triggers the same verification request, making it impossible to complete onboarding or access the application.
Troubleshooting Already Performed:
-
Updated my Google Terms of Service country version to United States.
-
Revoked and re-established the Google account authorization.
-
Completely uninstalled and reinstalled Antigravity.
-
Repeated the verification process multiple times, with the same result.
Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue.
Relevant Log Findings:
The language_server.log file contains the following events:
These findings suggest that Google authentication succeeds, but account initialization may not be completing successfully.
I have not observed an explicit 403 PERMISSION_DENIED or VALIDATION_REQUIRED error in the log entries examined.
Environment:
Request:
Could the Antigravity team please investigate whether my account’s verification or eligibility status is not being correctly synchronized with the Antigravity backend?
I would also appreciate any guidance on additional diagnostics or steps that could resolve this issue.
Thank you for your assistance.
