Slight UX Downgrade in Recent Aistudio Updates

I appreciate the fix for the slight awkwardness I felt with the collapsible grouping in the model selection box. I’m also thrilled that we can now adjust the top_p value for Gemini models.

Along with these positive changes, one modification stands out: the menus in the top right corner of the user/model input/output boxes are no longer persistently visible. They are now fixed to the top of the box, requiring significantly more mouse scrolling than before to reach the very top of a message box. This also necessitates faster and more precise scrolling, especially when the text length per turn in a conversation increases.

Previously, regardless of text length or scroll position, hovering over any box would reveal its menu in the top right corner. This is no longer the case.

While I believe the recent updates have brought many improvements, this particular change feels like a significant inconvenience.
I hope this post can serve as an opportunity to hear about other users’ experiences with this change.

Have to agree with you. However there was one update I did like - they allowed you to send several messages before the model runs. So if Google is looking here for feedback don’t remove this ^^ - this has saved me
