Hi everyone,
I am running into a blocking UI issue in Google AI Studio when trying to upgrade my account to the “pay per request” tier.
When I reach my daily limit and the “Upgrade to continue your flow” prompt appears, I select the option to continue with pay per request. This brings up the “Link a paid API key” dialogue box. However, the moment I click on the “Select key” dropdown menu, the entire modal instantly closes without warning, and I am returned to the underlying page with no key linked.
Steps to Reproduce:
-
Reach the daily limit in Google AI Studio.
-
Click “Continue with pay per request” on the upgrade prompt.
-
On the “Link a paid API key” dialogue, click the “Select key” dropdown.
-
Expected behaviour: A list of available API keys expands for selection.
-
Actual behaviour: The modal crashes/closes automatically.
Has anyone else experienced this, or is there an alternative settings page where I can manually force-link my Google Cloud API key to my AI Studio account? It is currently preventing me from transitioning to a paid tier.
Thanks in advance for your help!
the same difficulty persists.
HI @Karla_Mykrolabs @Orhan_Dalgara are you still experiencing this issue ?
Hi @Mustan_lokhand , yes I am still experiencing this issue.
Thank you for the update. Investigating this issue.
Can you try the following :
Click “Unlink” to remove the key, or “Choose project and API key” to switch.
let me know if this does not work
Hi @Mustan_lokhand, it’s no longer crashing but it’s not actually allowing me to continue with pay per use and I need to wait until CA midnight for my free tokens to refresh.
I tried the above. It closes the window but again with a new prompt it says
Upgrade to continue your flow
You’ve reached your limit for the day, you can wait for it to reset or upgrade to continue and unlock even more.
I am using paid API key. This problem I did not face 10 days back. I used to get message that daily limit has crossed and then I used to
give the paid gemini key and it worked. now I see a new UI.
Kindly resolve it as my app is stuck.
I have the same issue. The “Continue with pay per request” button is not clickable. It was working a few days ago. Does anyone know what happened and how to fix it?
