Hi AI Studio Team,
I have an orphaned Google Cloud Project that was automatically provisioned as a “Starter Tier” project by Google AI Studio.
I have since deleted the associated workspace application inside Google AI Studio, but the underlying GCP project is still active and stuck on my account dashboard. Because my account lacks Owner permissions (resourcemanager.projects.delete), I cannot manually shut it down or clean it up through the Google Cloud Console.
Could a backend engineer please manually force-delete or unlink this project to free up my project quota slot?

The navigation is correct. Are you sure you are in the right project? Can you click on the buttons as shown in the below screenshot and see if it leads you to a different project.
However the project appears to be in Google Cloud not Google AI Studio, so I can’t edit it from Google AI Studio. I think there’s been a mistake and it’s stuck there in the Cloud.

Google AI Studio starter projects do not count against your personal Google Cloud project creation quota and do not incur any charges. Because this project was provisioned under a Google-managed folder hierarchy, project deletion permissions (resourcemanager.projects.delete) are restricted to the managing system. Leaving an unused starter project in place is completely safe and does not consume your personal project quota slots.
To help us assist you, could you clarify if having this project listed is causing a specific blocker in your workflow? If your main concern was quota limits or unexpected costs, you can safely leave the project as-is.
